Click on the links below to see examples of the types of visual resources that I develop for and with my clients. Visual resources are of value for a range of reasons:

  • Because autistic people are often visual learners and so process information better with the aid of visual supports.

  • Because the language in a visual support is consistent, whilst spoken language can change.

  • Visual supports provide non-fade cues that can be referred to again and again.

  • In a mentoring situation visual supports can provide a focus and a starting point for discussion. They can make the session less 'socially intense' and therefore more relaxing for many autistic people.
